The crypto exchange market today
The 38 exchanges tracked by P2P Army have a combined 24h spot trading volume of $31.4B across 26,289 trading pairs. The largest reported volumes are on Binance ($4.9B), Bitrue ($2.8B) and XT.COM ($2.1B) — together 31% of the total.
20 of the 38 exchanges have a CoinMarketCap score of 9 or higher. The widest choice of markets is on Gate (2,181 pairs), MEXC (1,709 pairs) and Bitrue (1,691 pairs). The longest-running exchanges on the list are Bitstamp and Kraken, both operating since 2011.
How the data is collected
All figures come from the exchanges’ own public APIs and are collected by P2P Army’s parsers rather than copied from aggregators.
24h volume
The sum of the 24-hour USD volume of every spot pair an exchange publishes. Pairs whose price has not updated for 5 minutes are skipped, pairs quoted in fiat (KRW, JPY, TRY, EUR…) are converted to USD, and derivatives are excluded where an exchange mixes them into its spot feed. The total is recalculated every few minutes.
Coins and pairs
The number of unique assets and spot trading pairs with fresh prices. Delisted and frozen markets drop out of the count automatically.
CMC score
CoinMarketCap’s exchange score from 0 to 10, which takes into account traffic, liquidity, trading volume and reserves. It is synced every hour.
Warnings
A red warning sign means P2P Army has flagged the exchange for fake volumes or withdrawal problems. Exchanges that stop working or whose data becomes unreliable are removed from the list.
Live tickers
Every exchange page lists all its spot pairs with the last price, best bid and ask, bid-ask spread and time of the last update, plus a link to the pair on the exchange.
How to choose a crypto exchange
Total volume alone says little about whether an exchange suits you. Check these five things before you deposit funds:

Reputation
Prefer exchanges with a CMC score of 7 or higher and several years of history. A low score or a warning sign is a reason to keep balances small.

Liquidity of your pair
What matters is the volume and spread of the pair you trade, not the exchange total. Open the exchange page and find your pair: liquid major pairs usually trade with a spread well below 0.1%.

Choice of assets
Exchanges with thousands of pairs list new and small-cap tokens early, but many of those markets are thin. Check the volume of each pair before trading it.

Deposits and withdrawals

Frequently asked questions about crypto exchanges
By 24h spot volume collected by P2P Army, the leaders right now are Binance ($4.9B), Bitrue ($2.8B) and XT.COM ($2.1B). The order changes during the day — sort the table by 24h volume to see the current ranking. Keep in mind that volume is reported by the exchanges themselves, so compare it with the CMC score.
P2P Army adds up the 24-hour USD volume of every spot pair that an exchange publishes in its public API. Pairs without a price update in the last 5 minutes are skipped, fiat-quoted pairs are converted to USD, and derivatives are not counted. The total is recalculated every few minutes.
It is CoinMarketCap’s exchange score from 0 to 10. It takes into account web traffic, liquidity, trading volume and reserves. Top-tier exchanges score 9 or higher; a low score is a reason for extra caution.
Aggregators cover pairs differently and apply their own adjustments: some include derivatives, others discount volume they consider suspicious. P2P Army counts only the spot pairs from the exchange’s own API, so the figure can be higher or lower. For most large exchanges the difference is small; a big gap usually means the exchange mixes derivatives or tokenized assets into its spot data or reports inflated volume.
Ticker prices update continuously — from every few seconds to every few minutes, depending on the exchange. The 24h volume and the number of coins and pairs are recalculated every few minutes, and the CMC score is synced every hour.
P2P Army lists centralized exchanges with a public API for spot prices. Exchanges that stop working, freeze withdrawals or publish unreliable data are removed from the list, and their pages are marked as no longer supported.
